Trick or Treat throughout Ragol You can now go ahead and trick or treat the monsters in ragol. Actually by trick or treat we mean kill them. But they do sometimes drop treats in the form of presents! Besides the usual 3 presents, this year around there's a 4th one to obtain. They come wrapped Are limited edition (only obtainable during halloween) One of the presents is a weapon, and it comes tekked with a random tier 4 special Presents drop the same way as crates, individually No daily limit, and all monsters have a chance to drop a present. Note that it's not allowed to farm presents with multiple accounts at the same time. Get S-ranks Once you collected a bunch of jack-o'-lanterns, you have the chance to trade 25 of them for an s-rank weapon (no special) with a GM. Redeeming s-ranks starts when the event ends. Like last year, the Headless Horseman and The Grim Reaper have returned to cause havoc! Find the Headless Horseman in episode 1 ruins. Find the Grim Reaper in episode 2 tower. These monsters are more powerful than regular Ragol residents, and there's a high chance you'll meet death (lol), so you better bring some friends. However, to make the pain and suffering worthwhile, they both drop some brand new items: DEMON WING (LIMITED EDITION) "A pair of demonic wings that boost support techniques and attack power." This shield boosts Jellen & Zalure range by 100%, and ATP by 60. Class: All. Limited edition, meaning it drops during Halloween only, and may or may not return next year. ETHEREAL ARMOR "This legendary piece of equipment gives the wielder a set of extraordinary abilities. Only usable by forces." Hi all, this is a small update regarding the status of halloween event. We're all working very hard to finish it as fast as possible. However, despite all efforts, one of the new items still has some bugs and isn't as stable as we want it to be. For this reason the event will be delayed a bit longer. I know this sucks, but we want to release items that are up to the standards you came to know us by. And sadly, that isn't currently the case. To make up for this, we decided to activate x10 XP, Free Section ID, and random Photon Token drops until the event officially starts. Once the event goes live Photon Tokens will stop dropping, as they're not normally part of Halloween. Thanks for understanding, and apologies for the inconvenience. PS. New version is here!: As most of you are aware, it's against our rules to use 3rd party programs that tamper with the client including the many readers that are out there. These readers aren't allowed for a few reasons, including but not limited to cheating and privacy of other players. On the other hand many of you would really just like to use basic features of those readers such as the ability to see floor items, without intention to abuse the readers for exploits. For this reason we're releasing Destiny's own floor reader. It's functionality is pretty basic and at this stage should be considered beta. More features will be added in the future. Since it can't really be used to gain an unfair advantage over others, or mess with unintended server mechanics, everyone is free to use it while playing on Destiny! Note: Remember that 3rd party readers are still not allowed, and if you do decide to use them, there will be consequences. We're proud to release a new version of the Destiny Reader! Download it here: Download Note that the reader has a new filename that now includes the version number. The latest version is v.0.9.5. The new version will not retain v0.9.4 settings / position / size / etc. Note that it is the same file name as the previous version of the reader. Make sure you use the new one after downloading. The new version will show v0.9.3. Screenshots: Changelog: To install: Simply drop it in your destiny folder, right click on it and select "send to desktop (create shortcut)" though the reader can be run from any folder on your PC. Known issues: For now, reader doesn't work alongside ENB. Workaround: place the reader in a separate folder. (assuming this is not fixed) Rare Sound has some known edge cases that currently cause a sound to happen when there was not a rare drop. These include dropping and picking up meseta from your inventory while a rare item is on the floor before picking up meseta from a monster or box. And dropping 1 item from a stack if it's not the entire stack in your inventory (dropping 2 or 3 pd / luck mat too). These do not apply on Pioneer 2 or Lab areas. Rare Sound may have other unknown issues. Your selected client can change to a different one automatically in rare situations that involve using 3 or more clients at once. Example: If you open 3 Clients, select Client 2, and close Client 1, your selected Client will remain "Client 2" but Client 2 will have changed to what was previously "Client 3" and you'll be reading from a different floor. This can also happen when opening additional clients, and should only apply when you have a specific client selected in settings. So the year is almost over. I’d like to apologize for the lack of content, events and the lack of my own involvement in general. This year has been rough for me and my family (as I’m sure it has been for many others). People always say real life comes first. Well, that’s exactly what I did. I’m honored that there’s still some of you who play regularly. For what it’s worth I haven’t given up on PSO. Neither has the rest of the staff. We still have many ideas and plans. I just don’t have as much free time as I used to have, and won’t have much time for the foreseeable future. Up until this year our events were a major aspect of Destiny and we held a pretty high standard for those. New items, custom enemies, server wide skins and themes, etc. Almost all events featured something new. This unfortunately has to change. Because I don’t have nearly enough free time as I used to have, I have to be very careful what to spend my time on. Seasonal events will still happen but they won’t be as extensive anymore as they used to be. Instead, it will be for the most part recycled content from the previous years. We feel our time is better spent fixing bugs, balance, and adding permanent content and features. This means I personally still won’t be around much. I’ll mostly be behind the scenes working on server improvements when I can. You will still get events, and we’ll try our best to start them on reasonable dates, but they will be mostly recycled content. There will be some new features to definitely look out for next year. But no ETA for anything yet. That all said, we did miss summer, halloween and anniversary this year. For that reason we came up with Triple Threat. A custom event that lasts around 3 weeks and includes elements from all three to finish off the year. Xmas starts right after. Read the post in the events section for more information. Easter event delayed Let's get this out of the way first, Easter event will be delayed by at least a week. Yes it sucks, yes there will be new things, no it's not ready. Sorry guys. I tried to get everything released by this weekend, but that's just not going to happen. While the content is more or less done, I haven't even started to properly test the new stuff. I can't release it until everything is confirmed stable. An update on Destiny development For the past 6 months we've been mostly working on the server code and get things in place to make development faster and more streamlined. The way we used to do events was holding everything back. It took us ages to make unique items, enemies, quests and such and actually a lot of the time goes into planning and testing things to make sure everything works correctly on all your PSO installations. Some events consist of over 40 server files that have to be replaced or edited manually in the right place, and after a month, reverted back. This is painful, I'm getting too old for this lol. With every update behind the scenes the development became less hassle and more fun, and I've already reduced the amount of files required for an event by about 50% compared to before, without losing quality. We've field tested this new system last year with anniversary part 2, and besides a few minor issues, it works as intended. This means we can use the extra development time for more fun stuff and less dealing with problems. For Easter and future events, I've reduced the amount of files required even more. But, there's still a lot of testing ahead. The end goal here is that we can keep making fresh events that can be activated with barely any effort, while also working on new content, balance, bug fixes, tools, etc. For example, we've been working on some crazy endgame content for some time now, which, like I said in another post a while back, is not related to any events. That's still coming, and I promise it's worth the wait. In other words, endgame content is one of our main priorities. Anyways, I hope this gives some more insight of what we're all doing behind the scenes. And definitely don't miss this Easter event! Even though it will be late, I have a feeling this will be the best Easter event we've ever had. I'll be working hard to get it released by next weekend. Magic

The concentration needed to make it here as solo RAcast in ROCT without using PB is crazy The time alone tells how it went lol

I just want to take this time to say since coming here to Destiny community August of 2019, its been amazing! I been off and on here but now I'm back and been on the server heavy, playing with cool friends and hunting great items. A few things I love about the server is the people in this community are very nice, the gear here is amazing and it's a lot of weapons to use besides depending on dark weapons to be skilled or a great player, and the staff here are so helpful. The staff is always active on the server 24/7 and always here to help in whatever we need from redeeming DTS to just answering general questions about the server. I want to acknowledge and give thanks to @Sabrina @VEL @Orgodemirk @Shisui and the mastermind behind it all @Magictrick for making an amazing server foe everybody that still has that nostalgia for PSO. The GM's has always been helpful to me for whenever I needed redeem DTS especially @Sabrina @VEL @Orgodemirk they always helped me when I needed them for anything. This is has been an amazing experience on this server and playing with friends that I knew from other servers is amazing! I'm proud to say that this is my new home, new community and I plan on being here for a long time. I'm grateful to find this server and playing with amazing people that want to hunt and have fun. Destiny v0.6.19 Game Added a drop notifications command. This displays a small message whenever an enemy drops a Photon Drop, Daily Crate or event item. Usage: /dropnotifications 1 to enable, /dropnotifications 0 to disable. Added the ability to see specials on rare weapons that have none by themselves, such as Yasminkov series. Changes are live. Enjoy! Hotfix #1: Fixed an issue with drop notifications happening in multi rooms. Hotfix #2: A bug was fixed with crate stat distribution where, in some cases, weapons received wrong or duplicate attributes. This fix also slightly increases your chances to receive better stats on items from crates. Posted below is some additional information related to this bug, potentially affected items and how to fix them.

This shield boosts Resta, Reverser & Moon Atomizer range by 100%. Class: All. This item only drops during valentines event. Drops from Bubbles on all IDs @ 1/630 New item: Section ID Halos A chromatic halo that boosts support techniques and accuracy. Req Lv:150 DFP:180 EVP:180 EFR:20 EIC:20 ETH:20 EDK:25 ELT:20 Class: All This shield boosts: Reverser & Moon Atomizer range by 100%, Jellen & Zalure by 100%, and ATA by 25. It's only available during Valentines. To obtain it, find the "exotic armor dealer" NPC in the Love Research quest and he will trade it for 3 Wings of Life and 50 Flower Bouquets. The color of the halo you receive is based on your current section ID. So if you want a certain color, make sure to change your section ID first! x10 XP & Free Section ID For for the duration of the event! To change your section ID, use /sectionid in the lobby. RELEASE: We added a new special mode. Playing in this mode gives you 2x movement speed, but if you take damage one random item is removed from your bank. If you have no items left, your character is deleted. This mode is automatically enabled for all players. Due to the fact that there's already another server that offers a similar mode, we decided to call this mode Destiny Hardcore Mode™ (DHM). Game - Creating a room now costs 300 meseta. - Hucast can now cast Shifta/Zalure lv 25. - Using dark flow with less than 10% HP now ignores resta. However, while in this mode, other players can also attack you. - Ingame music replaced with random techno music I found on youtube. - Monomates now stack to 99, but trimates have been removed from the game. - Phantasmal Crates now have legs, and they will run away when you try to grab them. You no longer have to use workarounds for the level to stick at 35, it should all work properly as intended. If you still find any issues please let us know. Sorry for the delay on ending halloween event. We've made quite a lot of updates to the client in order to support more custom content in the future, but this wasn't 100% stable yet. And because grim reaper attacks are hardcoded in the client and cursed wing was added, we couldn't just roll back to the old version. That said, the new client should be stable now. Xmas Catastrophe The quest Xmas Catastrophe is enabled under Episode 1 / VR. This is a fun little quest in mines where you help hopkins. You are able to get 2 materials as a reward in the end on very hard, 3 on ultimate. So if you're short on materials on your character or looking to build a stash, here's your chance. Photon Tokens & Presents Like last year, for the duration of the event, all monsters in Ragol have a chance to drop presents and Photon Tokens. Photon Tokens Photon Tokens can be used to add hit to weapons by speaking to Paganini in the new Phantastic Bazaar quest. Destiny v0.7.0 Instead of completely new gear, this update addresses a few long awaited changes to some of the existing custom items. We didn't want to add new stuff again while many items are underused, broken or weak. We hope you enjoy their new powers/looks. Here we go! Items Dark Bridge now also boosts Rabarta by 50%. That's right, this makes it the first ever PSO weapon with 4 tech boosts: Rafoie, Razonde, Rabarta and Grants. Dark Bridge now has a special. It ‘s able to launch level 23 Grants to up to 3 targets in front of the wielder at once. L&K38 combat is now combo unlocked when equipped on a ranger. Nightmare skin updated: Nightmare description updated: “Yamigarasu's true form. Its special attack launches a series of relentless strikes, that when hit, instantly kill.” Nightmare’s special attack updated. Instead of regular reduced hell, it now has unreduced hell that hits multiple targets in a cone in front of the wielder. Subzero now has unreduced blizzard instead of regular blizzard. Subzero skin updated: Ethereal Armor’s speed boost has been increased from 80% to 100%. Christmas Spirit is now also usable on forces. Bugfixes Dark Flow handle texture now properly spins again. There's been some speculation and confusion about when xmas event is going to start. Xmas 2019 will start friday 27th around 8:00 - 9:00 PM server time (GMT). There will also be a major item balance update to accompany this event, so stay tuned.

It's been requested a bunch of times that we add the location of dropped crates, pds, photon tokens etc to the minimap. I know some other PSOBB servers have this feature but this code obviously isn't public and QOL features like this one aren't our priority. For this reason I'm not going to bother reinventing the wheel and research how they did it. There's lots of other cool stuff I'm working on behind the scenes, that's more important. That said, I do understand that, for example, it's sometimes hard to know if your luck is really bad or you missed an actual crate drop a few rooms back. A compromise of sorts would be a command (e.g. /dropnotifications ) that allows you to get a small notification if a crate has dropped for you. We could also extend this to event drops and photon drops. This wouldn't be as convenient as seeing the location on the minimap but at least you'll know if it dropped or not. And it's not much work for us to add this. Either way, if the majority of the server would like this implemented it will be added with the next server maintenance. Poll closes in about a week. In order to make farming easter eggs less boring, from now on easter eggs also drop at 1/500 from any mob in the following quests: Ep1 / Easter / Lost Soul Ripper Ep1 / Easter / Mines Offensive Ep2 / Easter / Gal Da Val's Darkness Note that this rate does not have DAR calculated in already, so the final droprate per actual killed mob is still affected by amount of players and enemy DAR. Furthermore, egg drops are completely separate from rare drops and even common drops. This means that you won't ever miss out on a rare drop because an egg dropped. However, you may occasionally encounter two items in the same spot. For example, Primal Nexus drops at 1/1204 from baranz episode 2. The actual rate is 1/602, but because baranz has 50% DAR, the rate shown is 1/1204. Furthermore, these rates (just like the ones on the droptable) benefit fully from happy hours x3 and ultimate x2. Easter event will run for about 4 weeks. Hi! Here's a little update about what we've been working on and our plans towards the future. As you probably know 5th anniversary event was skipped last year because of issues with the item. It took a lot of effort and we almost threw it in the garbage but I'm happy to announce that we managed to get it working correctly. Not only that, we've prepared something really special to celebrate Anniversary. There will be 2 temporary quests and 2 limited items, one for 5th and one for 6th Anniversary. Warning: It won't be easy! It's designed to play with a group, so make sure to bring your friends! Timeline: October 25th: Anniversary Event (2 weeks). 2 temporary quests and 2 new limited drops. And of course Anniversary Crates. November 8th: Halloween Event (4 weeks). Headless Horsemen will return. Unfortunately at this moment Grim Reapers are broken, so they may or may not return, depending if I get them fixed in time. Fixed! December 6th: Xmas Event (4 weeks). Christmas Spirit drops and orb of illusions drops from certain bosses. Plus of course the usual Xmas stuff. Other important announcements: From October 25th onward, it's no longer allowed to redeem a custom mag cell mag where the mag cell is provided by the GM for 15 tokens. That being said, you can still order a mag cell mag with a GM for 10 tokens as long as you bring your own mag cell. So, if you were planning to get a custom mag cell mag from a GM and don't want to provide the cell, you have to do so before October 25th. A quick heads-up for traders: Bat Wings and Wings of Life will become obtainable again, every year, from their respective events (Halloween and Valentines). So keep that in mind when trading as the trade price may change. Their skinned counterparts (Demon Wings, Cursed Wings, Valentine Wings) remain unobtainable. Sneak peek: That's all for now! Hey! This is a thread for anyone to add in any PSO tips and tricks which you think are useful or might be lesser known. PSO Tips & Tricks Episode 1 Enemy specific Episode 2 Enemy Specific Episode 4 Enemy specific Slingshot Effect By switching quickly to a mechgun and starting a combo, there will be a a lag / delay in the first few bullets hitting. This can be very annoying if you need those first hits to push a monster back. This can however be used to an advantage with Demons Mechgun / Demon Yask 9000m. If using Normal - Special - Special combo, the first normal attack wont land straight away, the 2 special attacks will hit and then the delayed normal attack will hit 3rd and hopefully kill the monster. Stealth Suit / Spectral Suit These armors remove weapon equip lag / prevents the slingshot effect. Good for needing to draw out a mechgun quickly and not having to wait for the bullets to spawn in. Trap Shooting This is when you set a freeze trap and immediately shoot it to activate the trap - using a handgun is best as it has the fastest animation. This will instantly freeze a spawn without having to wait for the trap to manually trigger after a few seconds. Twin Blaze Trap Activation By casting Gifoie with Twin Blaze, traps will instantly ignite when placed. Very useful when you know what spawns are coming up. Stopping Charging Enemies By casting a low level Gifoie or using the special of Twin Blaze / Mercuruis Rod, charging enemies like Dark Bringers, Zus, & Dorphons. Only use a low level Gifoie as a high level has a huge range and will stop the enemy way too far away, which can hinder your teamates. Symbol Chat Menu Dodging An old trick of PSO is that you can dodge most normal traps by walking through them if a menu is up. BY default when your character is close and facing an enemy or trap, you will slow down movement and will stop you running. By having the first slot of the symbol chat free, the least amount of space is taken up by a menu, and is easy to bring up to dodge monsters as well as some slower traps. Photon Blast Reviving Out of moons? You can revive a fallen team by using either the Leilla or Mylla and Youlla Photon Blast. The fallen teamate will have to donate PB. Damage Cancellation (DMC) A classic PSO feature - if 2 or more players land attacks on an enemy at the same time they cancel each other out. It is best to space out attacks with other party members if possible or to focus on different enemies. Things other than just attacks can cause DMC too - Jellen and Zalure have more chance to cause DMC. Also If the game has 2+ players, your trap causes DMC to yourself as well. (for example when you time freeze traps etc) Reducing PB 'a tiny bit' Before A Boss Reducing your PB by a few PB points means that you can quickly hit 100PB again, and hopefully trigger mag invincibility. Stand on area transporter and swing PB wave (using Dragon Sword, TJS etc), then get warp immediately. With this tip you can reduce PB as much as you want. Reducing PB (Anywhere) Unlike the above PB reduction tip, this can be done anywhere. You can reduce your PB by switching weapons after the second swing of TJS (or Dragon Sword). With a combo of normal attack -> special attack, then quickly switch weapons to cancel out the PB burn. This way you will only burn 37 PB instead of 44 PB. Stunlocking enemies with Techniques By repeatedly casting Razonde or Rabarta, enemies can be locked in place - this can work well for Zus, Mericarols, Merikles & Mericus'. Self Resta It is possible to Resta only yourself, this can be useful when team members are wanting to their respective HP low to use Dark Flow or Final Egg Blaster special attacks. By casting Resta from the quick menu whilist performing an attack or other animation, this will cast Resta only to you. Video demo by @NDW Faster Technique Casting Not as useful anymore due to V802 & awesome tech damage buffed weapons on Destiny! Different classes and weapons have faster / slower technique casting times. Females cast fastest with wand type weapons, and males have the fastest speed when barehanded. Zalure S-Rank Launcher Vertical Range With this specific infinite vertical range you can Zalure (lv. 21) enemies above you. Here are a few examples: - Olga Flow after his introduction cinematic - Gal Gryphon when he flies above the players in the beginning of the fight - Dark Falz form 3 in his landing animation (after Grants) - Da Ra Lie when he is (or jumps) above the platform The 'SNS' Glitch The SNS glitch refers to using a combo of special - normal - special. If this combo is performed on a weapon with slow projectiles at range (works best on a Slicer / J-Cutter), the accuracy of the first special attack with have the accuracy of a normal attack making the weapon much more reliable / usable. This is particularly useful with Slicer Of Fanatic, Hell J-Cutter or Arrest J-Cutter. Section ID Non Rare Weapon Drop Frequency Non rare weapons drop at higher rates on certain IDs, see below charts for the frequency. Higher the number the more common the drop. Section ID Materials (more data needed) Whilst all IDs can drop any material type, some IDs are best for hunting Specific material types. Turbo Mag Feeding After feeding an item to a mag, you can press the F4 key (the mag shortcut) to close the mag feeding box, this will skip having to watch the stat bars rise every time an item is fed. This significantly reduces the time needed to raise a mag. Buffering 3rd Combo Attack To Boost Accuracy The way ATA is calculated is that the third attack of a combo will have the highest accuracy, and second being the second highest. You can start your combo before the enemy appears, so when the enemy spawns in you can hit it straight away with your 3rd combo attack. This is espeically useful for certain spawns in episode 2 where hell special is used. Its particular good with auto aiming weapons such as Hell Striker. It can also be used on sacrificial weapons where it's important not to miss. Trap Refill With Scape Dolls If being revived with a scape doll, all traps will be replenished to the maximum amount. This can be used to an advantage mid quest and without enemies with HP reducing attacks. Howi's Pro Tip on Rangers vs Mericarols By spamming DM with Normal-Hevy-Normal combos, you can stunlock and kill them easily without getting rushed over (Try it first with one meri for practice). Keeping Buffs In Pioneer 2 The timer of Shifta/Deband (as well as status effects) does not count down when piping back to pioneer 2. This can be useful before a boss if your team needs to restock before entering. Just do not use the hospital lady as this will also remove Shifta/Deband. Having a Mag of up to 95% Invincibility Trigger Rate (Destiny Exclusive) By having a Gael Giel mag with its Synchro between 101% - 120%, the trigger rate for invincibility is the highest of any mag - being 95%. This is due to some mags having bonuses for having full Synchro (+35% on top of the original 60% trigger rate. I once had the source for what mags had these hidden bonuses for Vanilla PSOBB, but hese figures seem to be accurate. Agastya, Angels Wing, Devils Wing, Robochao also gain an additional 35% chance of activating at bosses & at gaining full PB (85% total trigger rate for invincibility.) Nidra also gets 35% (85% total,) but only on boss triggers I'm not sure on the data about the server custom mags yet, but Gael Giel has the best trigger rate for invincibility that has been found. Nightmare's Infinite Vertical Range (Destiny Exclusive) Since the new buff, Nightmare's new special is essentially a Dark Flow wave with Hell Special, this also gives the weapon infinite vertical range, very handy for certain spawns as a hunter. D-Virus Launcher Bullet Speed (Destiny Exclusive) This weapon has slow projectiles and is prone to missing - this is due to manual evasion where if an enemy is moving and/or if projectiles are slow - it is much more likely to miss. Even on low difficulty levels, an 80 hit D Virus Launcher can miss all special shots on fast enemies if using Special - Special - Special combo. To combat this using a Normal - Special - Special combo, the first normal shot will most likely connect and hold the enemy in place for the next 2 special hits. This usually isn't a problem in a multiplayer game as monsters are getting hit, but it is more noticeable playing solo. Ultimate Double Cannon Tactic (Destiny Exclusive) By using a normal normal special combo twice in a row, this reduces HP to less than 12.5% (ready for Dark Flow special.) This way its not just much more safe, it gives you a lot of accuracy and you can hit all 6 special attacks - with the only downside of it is you reduce HP a little bit slower than 3x special combo. Its very effective against bosses like Sil Dragon (using a normal normal special combo) to make it sit and repeat, instead of using a 3x special combo and make it sit on your face.) It can also be used on Olga flow, in the first phase you can hit 12 times total because it has 2 targets. Its also useful on crowded quest like Path To Salvation, to be a little bit more safe and have max dmg output AOE. Leave any tips and I'll add to the guide! Hotfix #2: A bug was fixed with crate stat distribution where, in some cases, weapons received wrong or duplicate attributes. This fix also slightly increases your chances to receive better stats on items from crates. Posted below is some additional information related to this bug, potentially affected items and how to fix them. I received an item with a duplicate attribute. Can I get my item replaced? No. I know this sucks, but the truth is that we are not sure in every case what any potential stats were supposed to be. Plus, some glitched items are long reset by relogging, or have stats/hit added to them. Which makes it pretty much impossible for Destiny staff to validate potential stat adjustments in all cases. For these reasons we will not be replacing glitched items individually, sorry. Keep in mind it’s not guaranteed to receive certain stats on items received from crates. It’s all random, and the chance for a reward to be affected by this bug was equal for everyone. What is the chance this bug affects a stat-worthy weapon from a crate? In case of Anniversary Crate, we estimate around 0.96%. However, getting duplicate stats on an item is lower. Duplicated stats was only part of the bug. Was my item with duplicate stats supposed to have hit instead? No, it’s not certain that the item was supposed to have hit. If it was supposed to have another stat, it could’ve been any stat. What happens now? With the bug fixed, there’s a small increase in receiving weapons with more or better attributes, as well as some more variation in stat types. Consider this as a small buff in regards to stat generation on crate rewards from now on. How do I fix my item with duplicate stats? Reload blocks or relog with the item in your inventory. The item will automatically be fixed.
