TRIPLE THREAT This is a special event that lasts about 3 weeks and consists of three parts. x10 XP and Free section ID is turned on for the entirety of the event. Part 1: Monday Dec 07 - Saturday Dec 12 Presents & Photon Tokens Special presents are dropping randomly from any monster and contain a random item. Possible contents: Galatine Phoenix Claw Laconium Axe Girasole Baranz Launcher Rainbow Baton De Rol Le Shield Bubble Blaster (mechgun) Icecream Cone (partisan) Deal With It (shield) Photon Tokens are dropping randomly from any monster in the game. Photon Tokens can be used in the Phantastic Bazaar quest to add hit on your weapons. Find the quest in Episode 2 / Shop. Rules: Presents and tokens drop the same way as crates, individually. No daily limit, and all monsters have a chance to drop a present or token. It's not allowed to farm presents or photon tokens with multiple accounts at the same time. Rates: Present rates: Photon Token rates: Dr. Robotnik's Plan B The infamous mad scientist Dr. Robotnik has invaded Seabed, and is once again trying to take over the world. It’s up to you to protect the “friendly” creatures of Ragol and stop dr. Eggman. Destiny PSOBB presents to you a custom monster in PSOBB: Dr. Robotnik! Modeling & Texturing by @Shiva Monster AI by @Magictrick DROPS & HUNTS Dr. Robotnik's Plan B "Eggman's super secret plans. They appear to be blueprints for some kind of weapon." Can be used to transform Egg Blaster into Final Egg Blaster. Drops from Ultimate Dr. Robotnik on all ids. Final Egg Blaster "A prototype secret weapon built by dr. Robotnik to destroy the world. Its power is awakened when its owner is in danger." Obtained by combining a "Dr. Robotnik's Plan B" with an "Egg blaster". Egg blaster is made by combining a "Parts of Egg Blaster" with a fully grinded handgun series weapon. Stormrender "A legendary wind lance. Its special attack sacrifices a small amount of HP to summon a concentrated blast that damages nearby enemies." Drops from Episode 1 Ultimate Dark Bringer on All Ids. The drop has been lowered from 1/1329 to 1/930. Mortal Ruin "Ultimate energy blades from another dimension. Its special attack fires two death balls." In addition to the Olga drop, now also drops from Episode 2 Ultimate Epsilon on Pinkal and Redria @ 1/487. Soul Devourer "A special cane embedded with photon energy. Can be used by proficient fighters to drain mind power." 7 Target Slicer with Geist. Its high range and high target count make it by far the most convenient slicer to use. Class: humar, hunewearl, ramar, ramarl, fomar, fomarl, fonewm, fonewearl Drops from Episode 2 Ultimate Epsilon on most ids. Video: Check it out on youtube Part 2: Saturday Dec 12 - Friday Dec 18 Hallo Rappies The Hallo Rappies are back, dropping Jack-O'-Lanterns that contain various mag cells. Presents Special presents are dropping that contain limited items. They come wrapped One of the presents is a weapon, and it comes tekked with a random tier 4 special Presents drop the same way as crates, individually No daily limit, and all monsters have a chance to drop a present. Note that it's not allowed to farm presents with multiple accounts at the same time. The Headless Horseman has returned! Find the Headless Horseman in episode 1 ruins. DEMON WING (LIMITED EDITION) "A pair of demonic wings that boost support techniques and attack power." This shield boosts Jellen & Zalure range by 100%, and ATP by 60. Class: All. Limited edition, may or may not return later. Drops from Ultimate Headless Horseman on all ids. ETHEREAL ARMOR "This legendary piece of equipment gives the wielder a set of extraordinary abilities. Only usable by forces." Boosts: Megid Penetration, Attack Speed +100% Class: fomar, fomarl, fonewm, fonewearl Drops from Ultimate Dark Falz on Skyly/redria/oran. Type: Partisan ATP: 900 Special: Unreduced Tempest/Blizzard/Hell, depending on button press. In addition to the special attack, also deals regular damage. Targets: 10 Class: all Drops from ultimate Saint Million & Kondrieu on Viridia/Yellowboze Part 3: Friday Dec 18 - Friday Dec 25 Anniversary Crate This special crate can contain a LOT of different items and just like the daily crates can contain items with up to 100% attributes/hit (even though at a very rare chance). They are dropping randomly from any monster in the game. Rules: Anniversary crates drop individually for each player. No daily limit, you can find/pickup as many crates as you want. It's not allowed to farm crates with multiple accounts at the same time. Happy hour doesn't influence the crate droprates. Rates: Free PDs Well, not entirely free. @Orgodemirk altered the infamous quest World of Illusion. Normally this quest awards a random material after each of the 7 stages. This time around, the last 5 stages award a Photon Drop instead. So the year is almost over. I’d like to apologize for the lack of content, events and the lack of my own involvement in general. This year has been rough for me and my family (as I’m sure it has been for many others). People always say real life comes first. Well, that’s exactly what I did. I’m honored that there’s still some of you who play regularly. For what it’s worth I haven’t given up on PSO. Neither has the rest of the staff. We still have many ideas and plans. I just don’t have as much free time as I used to have, and won’t have much time for the foreseeable future. Up until this year our events were a major aspect of Destiny and we held a pretty high standard for those. New items, custom enemies, server wide skins and themes, etc. Almost all events featured something new. This unfortunately has to change. Because I don’t have nearly enough free time as I used to have, I have to be very careful what to spend my time on. Seasonal events will still happen but they won’t be as extensive anymore as they used to be. Instead, it will be for the most part recycled content from the previous years. We feel our time is better spent fixing bugs, balance, and adding permanent content and features. This means I personally still won’t be around much. I’ll mostly be behind the scenes working on server improvements when I can. You will still get events, and we’ll try our best to start them on reasonable dates, but they will be mostly recycled content. There will be some new features to definitely look out for next year. But no ETA for anything yet. That all said, we did miss summer, halloween and anniversary this year. For that reason we came up with Triple Threat. A custom event that lasts around 3 weeks and includes elements from all three to finish off the year. Xmas starts right after. Read the post in the events section for more information.
