New version is here!: As most of you are aware, it's against our rules to use 3rd party programs that tamper with the client including the many readers that are out there. These readers aren't allowed for a few reasons, including but not limited to cheating and privacy of other players. On the other hand many of you would really just like to use basic features of those readers such as the ability to see floor items, without intention to abuse the readers for exploits. For this reason we're releasing Destiny's own floor reader. It's functionality is pretty basic and at this stage should be considered beta. More features will be added in the future. Since it can't really be used to gain an unfair advantage over others, or mess with unintended server mechanics, everyone is free to use it while playing on Destiny! Note: Remember that 3rd party readers are still not allowed, and if you do decide to use them, there will be consequences. It's not allowed to farm crates with multiple accounts at the same time. Happy hour doesn't influence the crate droprates. Rates: Free PDs Well, not entirely free. @Orgodemirk altered the infamous quest World of Illusion. Normally this quest awards a random material after each of the 7 stages. This time around, the last 5 stages award a Photon Drop instead. So the year is almost over. I’d like to apologize for the lack of content, events and the lack of my own involvement in general. This year has been rough for me and my family (as I’m sure it has been for many others). People always say real life comes first. Well, that’s exactly what I did. I’m honored that there’s still some of you who play regularly. For what it’s worth I haven’t given up on PSO. Neither has the rest of the staff. We still have many ideas and plans. I just don’t have as much free time as I used to have, and won’t have much time for the foreseeable future. Up until this year our events were a major aspect of Destiny and we held a pretty high standard for those. New items, custom enemies, server wide skins and themes, etc. Almost all events featured something new. This unfortunately has to change. Because I don’t have nearly enough free time as I used to have, I have to be very careful what to spend my time on. Seasonal events will still happen but they won’t be as extensive anymore as they used to be. Instead, it will be for the most part recycled content from the previous years. We feel our time is better spent fixing bugs, balance, and adding permanent content and features. This means I personally still won’t be around much. I’ll mostly be behind the scenes working on server improvements when I can. You will still get events, and we’ll try our best to start them on reasonable dates, but they will be mostly recycled content. There will be some new features to definitely look out for next year. But no ETA for anything yet. That all said, we did miss summer, halloween and anniversary this year. For that reason we came up with Triple Threat. A custom event that lasts around 3 weeks and includes elements from all three to finish off the year. Xmas starts right after. Read the post in the events section for more information. The way I see it, we could be taken down if sega really wants to, just like any other private server out there. But in reality I don't believe they care much. No current pso server community is large enough to be a significant threat to them. Maybe if there was a server with thousands of online players at a given time they would consider taking it down. But even then, as mylandra said, action would be taken against the server owners, never against the players. So at most you lose your time invested in your characters.

Items The texture for the string of "dots" on From the Depths and DF shield have been improved and now properly animate. Two new combines have been added for Orb of Illusions. An Orb of Illusions used on a Cataclysm Shield will turn it into a Hellfire Shield, and when used on a Three Seals, creates a Profound Darkness. As always, the changes by Orb of Illusions are cosmetic only and the item stats are equal to the original item. Game Photon Drops now drop in random stacks of 1-3 photon drops just like materials. Bugfixes Some very nasty desync bugs were fixed. Special thanks to @Mylandra, @Shisui and erveryone else that reported desync issues. At the moment we're still actively improving and monitoring the current state of desync. This has been our highest priority for a while, and will remain our highest priority until it's considered fixed. For the time being other upcoming features will somewhat take the backseat, but we believe this is for the greater good. Thanks for all the patience. Changes are live.

Whitelisting in Windows firewall isn't needed, but rather in windows defender. You'll need to whitelist the Destiny folder or at the very least psobb.exe, psobb.pat, psobbw.exe and psobbw.pat. Make sure to restart your pc afterwards. Sometimes the files remain blocked until you restart it regardless of the exception.

To be clear, in case this is also some form of appeal, the accounts/ips you used cheats on won't be unbanned. But I appreciate the apology. Your new accounts won't be banned on sight but better play by the rules this time like everyone else.

Are you playing on wifi? The person in the mentioned post never reported back if the issues were resolved after moving his laptop closer to his router and didn't test with a cable. WiFi can cause instability for pso in some cases. The pso client doesn't handle packet loss very well and simply crashes.

Bugfixes Ultimate Double Cannon and Orb of Illusions combination now works properly. Humar and Hunewearl get Lavis Storm, Hucast and Hucaseal get Double Fury. Fixed Iron Faust and Cryo Warhead combination. We've also implemented various anti-desync measures. We're keeping a close eye on server-client desync and are investigating more potential causes that result in desync, and will be rolling out more stability improvements in the next few weeks. In the meantime here are some tips to minimize the risk of desync: Always reload block before using a combine item. And optionally reload block afterwards to ensure the item was combined properly. When making high value trades, reload block before making the trade and always trade in a fresh room. Secondly always use trade window instead of drop trading. If trade window throws an error, reload block and remake the room.
