Game Crash when Alt Tab

I just started playing and I can't stand windowed mode...but if I Alt + Tab when it is fullscreen, the game crashes. There is a program that would probably prevent that from happening called "Borderless Gaming", but I can't tell if it would run afoul of the "3rd party programs" rules. The program works by making things run as a sort of "Windowed Fullscreen". PSU has the same problem with crashing when minimized, and it helps there. It shouldn't directly affect anything in-game...but I don't want to get banned starting out. So if it isn't allowed, I would love it if someone would help with some way to prevent the game from crashing when minimized.
